NFIB GEORGIA PAC ENDORSES TYLER HARPER FOR AGRICULTURE COMMISSIONER

OCILLA –  Today, the National Federation of Independent Business Georgia PAC endorsed Tyler Harper for Agriculture Commissioner. The NFIB Georgia PAC’s endorsement comes on the heels of the Georgia Chamber of Commerce’s endorsement and shows that small businesses and job creators across the state are coming together to support Tyler in his run for Agriculture Commissioner. As a seventh-generation farmer, small business owner, and State Senator, Tyler has a proven record of delivering results for our farmers, producers, and consumers across the state. As a State Senator, Tyler helped increase access to rural broadband, reduce burdensome regulations, and empower our state’s number one industry. As Agriculture Commissioner, Tyler will continue to work with the NFIB and business leaders across the state to ensure that agriculture remains the number one industry for generations to come.

Tyler Harper said, “I am honored to receive the National Federation of Independent Business Georgia PAC endorsement in our race for Agriculture Commissioner. As a seventh-generation farmer and small business owner, I know firsthand how important it is to fight back against federal overreach and burdensome regulations, invest in the next generation of agriculture, and expand job growth and creation. As a State Senator, I have been proud to work with business leaders across the state to help grow and empower our agriculture industry —which has helped make Georgia the best place to do business for eight years in a row. As Agriculture Commissioner, I look forward to working with NFIB and job creators across Georgia to deliver funding to our farmers in record time, champion our local and family farms, build on the success of the Georgia Grown program and support our state’s number one industry for generations to come.”

“Agriculture is one of Georgia’s largest industries,” said NFIB State Director Nathan Humphrey. “Besides regulating farming in the state, the ag commissioner oversees everything from pet breeders to grocery stores to gasoline and motor fuel. This is one of the most powerful, important positions in the state, which is why we need to elect a strong leader like Tyler Harper. Tyler Harper has achieved a 100% NFIB voting record in the state, taking the small business position on everything from energy sourcing to lawsuit reform. He has shown our members that he understands the challenges facing Georgia’s job creators, which is why the NFIB Georgia PAC has chosen to endorse Tyler Harper as the state’s next commissioner of agriculture.”
